Early Start for the Lands End to John O'Groats Cyclists

Today is the day!

David Rowley and his fellow cyclists had an early start today as they set off from Lands End in Cornwall.  1000 miles to cover in 9 days; they are scheduled to arrive at their destination on 18th September.  David wrote on his fundraising page "I have to admit to being a little nervous and excited. The first two days through Cornwall and Devon will be brutal before we then break out of the south into some flat (relatively) days before Penrith and Scotland comes calling"

Training has been grueling at times but David and fellow riders have remained focused and committed, and in recent months they have 'clocked up' 3500 miles in training.

You can check out David's page to see his story and pictures from various training sessions.  Additionally, if there are people out there wishing to make a donation, no matter how small, this can also be done on the same link above.

Finally and not least of all, Trustees of the Gorlin Syndrome Group would like to express our gratitude to David for his magnificent effort and wish him and his team mates all the best over the coming days.  Just wishing all a safe journey and hoping the weather is kind to them.
