Insurance: What do I need to disclose?

Genetics Alliance UK are keen to here individuals regards the challenges they face when accessing insurance. 


Accessing appropriate insure can be a significant problem for many patients and families affected by genetic conditions. Genetics Alliance receive many telephone calls and emails from people affected by genetic conditions who are finding it difficult or impossible to access appropriate or affordable insurance cover.  Are you aware what insurance companies are allowed, or not allowed, to ask them, or what they need to tell them when applying for insurance. 

Genetic Alliance would like to hear patients' experiences of applying for insurance including concerns and challenges faced. The information will enable them to update the resources available on their website to better meet the needs of the patient community.
