The event this year takes place on Saturday, 23rd October 2010 at the Novotel, Broad Street in Birmingham.

We are again delighted to welcome Professor Peter Farndon, Clinical Geneticist who will be speaking about the many aspects of Gorlin Syndrome and will be available to answer questions about the condition.

The day will commence with registration and refreshments on arrival at 9.30 am for a 10.00 am start and run through until 4.00 pm.  The cost of attendance is £10.00 per adult, children under 16 years attend free.  Price includes all refreshments and lunch.  Whilst you participate in the day you can rest assured that your children will be fully supervised and kept busy in the creche by the staff of Safehands Network.

This year the focus is on advances in treatment and clinical trails.  Of particular interest with be the presentation and demonstration introducing the new Ambulight PDT device, a new concept in PDT allowing the patient to move and be mobile during treatment. The Ambulight PDT is a lower light intensity which has the potential to reduce nerve stimulation resulting in lower pain levels.

In addition, we will have the opportunity to listen to the latest developments relating to current and forthcoming clinical trials for the treatment of basal cell carcinomas.

Andrew Langford of the Skin Care Campaign will talk about the work he is doing at a national level to ensure that future healthcare provision is in place for patients affected by skin conditions.
